Planning your safari around Public Holidays

Kruger Park is usually busy during the South African Public Holidays - you are advised to avoid such times if possible. Main Camps we use in Kruger experience high occupancy which may lead to delays on check-in and at the restaurants. Likewise the volume of vehicles on the roads increases and this affects game viewing. Consider changing your itinerary and going to the Cape over long weekends.

Below is a list of public holidays in South Africa  for 2019  + 2020

The busiest time for familes is our winter School holidays which commence during the last week of June for a duration of approximately 3 weeks. Try to plan your own safari before or after this period. Generally the dry season in Kruger ( from May until late September )  is the most popular and we recommend you book early. We can accept reservations up to 11 months in advance.
