Day 1: Transfer to Kruger Park - afternoon game drive
Meet your Guide as arranged & transfer to Southern Kruger Park. Join the afternoon safari travelling through bushveld areas and stopping at waterpoints. Your guide will discuss the animals, position the vehicle for clear visibility and allow plenty of time for photos. Towards sunset, exit the Park and drive a short distance to Kruger Gate Hotel overlooking the Sabie River. Check into this top-class hotel, look for animals from the viewing deck & settle into your deluxe room. After a refreshing drink, enjoy dinner in the fireside Lapa Restaurant & overnight.

Day 2: Full day safari in Big 5 areas of Southern Kruger Park
Depart from your hotel after a quick cup of tea or coffee. Your guide will plan 3 drives - early morning, mid-morning & afternoon. We expect you will find Big 5 species (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino & Buffalo) as well as general game and smaller creatures. After the first drive, stop at a convenient place and your guide will provide breakfast packs with hot beverages. Continue along routes near the Sabie River and look out for hippos, crocodile and colourful birds - there you can expect some great photo opportunities. Following a lunch break and a further drive, return to Kruger Gate Hotel. Relax on the viewing deck with an infinity pool & enjoy a traditional sundowner from the bar. Finish the day with a delicious dinner in the Lapa Restaurant and overnight.
Day 3: Delicious breakfast - morning safari drive - Panorama highlights
Look forward to breakfast at the Kudyela restaurant which offers relaxing indoor seating or outdoor tables under the canopy of riverine trees.

Depart from the hotel & enter the Kruger Park for a final morning game drive. Your guide may be lucky to find a Big 5 sighting nearby - so have your cameras ready. We also encourage passengers to tick off a checklist, so you remember all the animals captured on your photos. Later in the morning exit the Park and travel towards the northern Drakensberg mountains.
The most dramatic viewpoint of the Blyde River Canyon is Three Rondavels, and you will also see God's Window, Berlin or Lisbon Falls and possibly Bourke's Luck Potholes. This depends on timing and on some occasions, there may be misty conditions affecting visibility. Drive down from the mountains via Kowyns Pass to Hazyview and check into Hippo Hollow Country Estate. The hotel is set on a beautiful Country Estate with lush gardens, a view of the Sabie River and 2 swimming pools. It is a traditional Lowveld hotel and frequented by families, business travellers and many international tourists.
The Garden Chalets sleep 2 and are ideal for a couple. The Chalets are air-conditioned, have ceiling fans, double showers, television, tea and coffee facilities plus verandahs overlooking the well-kept gardens and pools.
The thatched River Chalets overlook the Sabie River and are ideal for families with 1 or 2 children. Each has a loft room with single beds, and a private deck with river views offering the perfect setting for you to relax and rejuvenate.
The recently refurbished reception, restaurant and bar area provides an inviting atmosphere for guests on arrival. The Hippo Hollow Restaurant with large sliding doors opens onto an expansive deck overlooking the Sabie River. Here, guests can relax and enjoy watching hippo graze on the lawn while enjoying a 'sundowner' Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served daily either buffet-style or from a regularly updated à la carte menu featuring local seasonal fruit. The international menu is particularly impressive and served to tourists. Guests can enjoy South African wines or a cold beverage after a hot day on safari.

Day 4: Breakfast on the deck - return transfer to Johannesburg or Nelspruit
Enjoy a relaxing breakfast on the hotel terrace and sometimes catch a glimpse of passing elephants or hippos near the river. Depart from the hotel and begin your return transfer to KMIA airport near Nelspruit, OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg or your hotel by arrangement.
